We are seeking funding to present a high-quality film festival that is entertaining, engaging and fun.
The goal of the festival is to showcase new and established filmmakers and to establish Galveston as the destination for all types of film and television production. We are spotlighting the Island as the star of the show!
The debut festival will encourage attendees to explore the island while enjoying fresh new movies, educational seminars, and electrifying networking parties.
The theme for the event is, “Diversity is the pearl within the shell of the Entertainment Industry.”

Galveston Island Film Festival & Conference is a sponsored project of Galveston Island Film Society, a nonprofit arts service organization.
Galveston Island Film Society will receive grants for the purposes of The Galveston Island Film Festival & Conference, provide oversight to ensure that grant funds are used in accordance with grant agreements, and provide reports as required by the grantor.
Contributions for the purposes of The Galveston Island Film Festival & Conference must be made payable to Galveston Island Film Society and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
