Moody Gardens is a public, nonprofit educational destination utilizing nature in the advancement of rehabilitation, conservation, recreation, and research. Moody Gardens’ history begins back in 1986,
when it first opened as a horse barn and riding area, facilitating a hippotherapy riding program for
people with head injuries. Today, Moody Gardens is one of the premier educational and recreational facilities in the South.
The Galvez Hotel
The Hotel Galvez is a historic hotel
located in Galveston, Texas, United States that opened in 1911.
The building was named the Galvez, honoring Bernardo de Gálvez,
1st Viscount of Galveston, for whom the city was named. The building was added
to the National Register of Historic Places on April 4, 1979.
